I am a goal-driven and dedicated professional with extensive experience in social media and digital trends with a strong competence in developing, designing and implementing strategic plans for organizations. I possess solid experience in content development and cultivation, public relations, and marketing strategies with the ability to assess and formulate policies and provide overall program direction. I am a results-oriented and dependable individual, possessing strong familiarity and understanding of various community resources, and able to develop strategic partnerships to support community development programs. I have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and proficient in building good communication channels across multiple sectors while maintaining a portfolio of contacts.
As a content creator with more than 20 years of experience, I’ve managed my own marketing boutique, worked for PETA, ACCESS AIDS Care, WHRO Public Media, and now The Virginian-Pilot. My experience includes writing and curating articles and stories, producing videos and writing copy for social media that is made to stick – not unlike my keyboard. I’ve earned an Emmy, and two Telly Awards for my work on the art series, The Scene.
I want to live in a world filled with creative, critical thinkers, more Star Wars movies and a force field around my keyboard that repels cats and sticky-fingered toddlers.
When not writing, or shooting video, you can find me experimenting in the kitchen, trying some new local restaurant, hanging out at an art opening, or answer the question “why” for the eleventh-bajillionth time.
